BJP leader meets Awami League leaders

Dhaka, March 15 : BJP leader Dr Vijay Chauthaiwale, who heads the party’s Foreign Affairs Department, met senior leaders of Bangladesh’s ruling Awami League party here. In the Monday meeting, they exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and discussed ways to enhance party interactions at various levels, Dr. Chauthaiwale said in a social media post. Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader led the Awami League delegation in the talks. Several senior leaders including Awami League presidium member Matia Chowdhury and Kazi Zafarullah and office Secretary Biplab Barua were present. Lauding Bangladesh for successfully handling the Covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Chauthaiwale praised Prime Minister Hasina for keeping the country’s economy operational during the pandemic. Later, Dr. Chauthaiwale held an informal meeting with leaders of the minority comm ty in Bangladesh. He is visiting Dhaka on the invitation of Awami League. MAZ MR
