
Patna, March 3: The top leadership of the BJP announced Nitin Naveen as the party’s candidate for the Rajya Sabha from Bihar on Tuesday. Minister Ashok Chaudhary expressed his happiness regarding this decision, stating that it is a great achievement for Nitin Naveen to be heading to the Rajya Sabha.
In a conversation in Patna, Minister Ashok Chaudhary remarked that the BJP has put Nitin Naveen forward as their candidate. “Nitin Naveen has been our companion and has served as a minister and representative. We are delighted that he will be going to the Rajya Sabha. He will strengthen the BJP during his term,” he said. Chaudhary also extended his best wishes to Shivesh Ram, a friend and former MLA, highlighting the significance of his ticket to the Rajya Sabha, especially coming from the Dalit community.
Meanwhile, JD(U) workers in Patna celebrated the anticipated entry of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, into active politics. Some workers mentioned that they had been waiting for the past year for Nishant Kumar to enter the political arena. “Finally, the time has come for him to actively participate in politics,” one worker stated. It is expected that Nishant Kumar may join JD(U) after Holi.
When asked if Nishant Kumar would contest the Rajya Sabha elections from Bihar, JD(U) workers indicated that this decision would be made at the party level. They expressed their eagerness for Nishant Kumar to join the party, emphasizing that his youth would bring joy to workers like themselves.
Speculation about Nishant Kumar’s political entry has intensified following positive statements from JD(U) ministers regarding his involvement. However, the decision about his political entry will ultimately be made at the party level, and no official statement has been released from Nishant Kumar yet.
