Meerut, September 21 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ramping up its organizational activities in western Uttar Pradesh as preparations for the 2027 state assembly elections gain momentum. On Monday, BJP National President Nitin Naveen arrived in Meerut for a two-day visit, accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
During this visit, the party leadership focused on reviewing preparations at various levels, including booths, power centers, mandals, and districts, while also engaging directly with party workers. This marks Nitin Naveen’s first trip to western Uttar Pradesh since his appointment as national president. Upon his arrival at Kashi Toll Plaza, he was warmly welcomed by a large crowd of BJP workers, who even brought tractors and bulldozers to enhance the reception.
The welcome included traditional drums and chants, and Nitin Naveen acknowledged the party workers with folded hands. He then proceeded to Shubharati University, where he was joined by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and state BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary. A youth dialogue was held at the university, generating considerable enthusiasm among the students. Following this event, Nitin Naveen attended a conference with power center coordinators and mandal presidents from western Uttar Pradesh.
The conference saw significant participation from coordinators and workers. Organizational meetings provided insights into preparations from the booth level to power centers, mandals, and districts. Meetings with former officials, MPs, and MLAs were also conducted in the presence of Nitin Naveen and Chief Minister Adityanath. Discussions centered on the organizational status, election preparations, and feedback from the grassroots level. This visit is particularly significant as it follows recent changes in the organizational structure and the appointment of district in-charges, aimed at assessing the new team’s effectiveness.
Nitin Naveen’s visit is not confined to major events. According to the party’s agenda, he is engaging directly with grassroots workers and officials at various organizational levels. The BJP is emphasizing the activation of the organization at the booth level, strengthening power centers, and enhancing coordination between mandals and district units.
On the second day of his visit, Tuesday, Nitin Naveen will travel to Saharanpur, where he plans to dine at a BJP worker’s home. Following this, he will convene meetings with former officials, MPs, MLAs, and district-level organizational leaders. His itinerary includes a visit to Shakambhari Devi before returning to Delhi. Meetings in Meerut and Saharanpur will focus particularly on preparations at the booth, power center, mandal, and district levels. The party’s top leadership views this initiative as a crucial step in activating the organization as it gears up for the elections.
