BJP Critiques Akhilesh Yadavs Ayodhya Visit as Opportunity for Repentance

Lucknow, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : Political tensions are escalating in Uttar Pradesh as the state gears up for elections. BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi has labeled the ongoing seat-sharing discussions between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress as a “lathbandhan,” or a coalition of convenience rather than a true alliance. He confidently predicted that the BJP would achieve an even greater victory in 2027 than it did in 2017.

Tripathi noted the intense competition for Muslim votes among various parties, including the SP, Congress, and AIMIM. He stated, “Everyone is focused on securing Muslim votes, but the truth is that the community is realizing how their votes have been used to bolster the political careers of others. Only Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi have genuinely considered their welfare.”

He expressed skepticism about any coalition’s potential to succeed, asserting that the political landscape is changing. Tripathi remarked on Akhilesh Yadav’s upcoming visit to Ayodhya, suggesting that it would not be a genuine appreciation of the city. He emphasized that Yadav would witness development projects worth over ₹50,000 crores and might feel remorse for neglecting Ayodhya during his tenure as Chief Minister.

Tripathi criticized Yadav’s failure to visit Ram Lalla, stating that seeking forgiveness during this visit might provide some absolution for his past mistakes. However, he implied that Yadav’s focus on appeasing religious vote banks complicates this process, making it difficult for him to genuinely engage with the spiritual significance of the site.

He further commented on the disarray within the SP and Congress, indicating that their leaders are publicly attacking each other rather than presenting a united front. With social media becoming a battleground for these exchanges, Tripathi suggested that the prospect of meaningful dialogue is diminishing.

In response to Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks about illegal electoral practices, Tripathi insisted that Kharge should first address these issues with Rahul Gandhi. He urged Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra to resign from their positions, claiming their electoral victories were illegitimate.

Tensions within the opposition continue to rise as the BJP prepares for the upcoming elections, signaling a contentious political landscape ahead.
