Patna, March 7: Sanjay Kumar Jha, the National Executive President of Janata Dal United (JDU), stated on Saturday that the government in Bihar will operate under the guidance of Nitish Kumar until 2030. He emphasized that Kumar will oversee both party operations and government functions.
During a media interaction in Patna, Jha announced that Nishant would begin his party duties on Sunday. He assured that he would fulfill any responsibilities assigned to him. Earlier on Saturday, Nishant held a meeting with the party’s district presidents.
Post-meeting, Jha revealed that Nishant expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and committed to working for the party’s future.
Regarding the future of JDU, Jha remarked, “The future of JDU is determined by the people of Bihar. The electorate made their choice in the 2025 elections, and the government is functioning under the Chief Minister’s leadership. It is also true that before making any decisions, Kumar consults widely and takes independent decisions. Party members stand united with him. The people of Bihar feel secure under his leadership, and his decisions resonate deeply with the state.”
He acknowledged that advancing Kumar’s initiatives poses a challenge for party members. The promise to elevate Bihar among the top ten developed states will be a collective effort.
Jha affirmed that the party remains aligned with Kumar’s decisions, asserting that both Bihar and JDU have a bright future. He noted that Kumar’s role has shifted; he will spend time in Delhi during the Rajya Sabha session but will remain committed to fulfilling his pledges in Bihar.
On Nishant’s role within the party, Jha stated, “The party will determine Nishant’s responsibilities. Kumar has not stepped back from his commitments. His desire to serve in the Rajya Sabha does not alter his dedication.” He concluded by stating that Kumar’s tenure marks a golden era for Bihar.
