
Buxar, March 25: Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Buxar on Wednesday as part of his Prosperity Tour. During his visit, he inspected various ongoing projects and inaugurated several new initiatives. Addressing the public during a dialogue program, he highlighted the achievements of the NDA government.
He stated that since the NDA took office in Bihar, efforts have been made for all sections of society. To promote education, under the ‘Advanced Education Bright Future’ initiative, model schools and degree colleges are being established in every block. A new education city will also be constructed.
CM Nitish Kumar announced that under the ‘Accessible Health, Secure Life’ program, district and block-level hospitals will be transformed into specialized medical centers. He also mentioned that incentives will be provided for establishing reputed private hospitals in the state, along with a policy to restrict private practice by government doctors.
He emphasized the ‘Prosperous Industry – Empowered Bihar’ initiative, which aims to boost industrial development over the next five years. Industrial zones are being set up in all districts, with free land and grants offered to large industries. Additionally, efforts will be made to revive old, closed sugar mills, and significant work has already been done for agricultural development to enhance the state’s prosperity.
During this Prosperity Tour, CM Kumar inaugurated and laid the foundation for 64 developmental projects in Buxar, with a total investment of ₹592 crore. This includes the foundation laying of 23 projects costing ₹486 crore and the inauguration of 41 projects worth ₹106 crore.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary announced that the temple of Lord Vishnu’s fifth incarnation, Batuk Vaman, located within the Buxar jail premises, will be opened to the public, with necessary arrangements being made. He also mentioned the construction of a marine drive from Koilwar to Buxar, which will enhance traffic and tourism in the region.
Addressing the gathering at the Buxar Fort Ground, he noted that development activities are progressing rapidly in the district. Recently, a cement plant was inaugurated, and the largest cold drink bottling plant in the country has also been established here.
