Mumbai, July 11: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary is set to present a series of development initiatives to the people of Muzaffarpur this Sunday. He will inaugurate projects worth ₹1047.09 crore aimed at enhancing urban infrastructure.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, CM Chaudhary announced that under the Urban Development and Housing Department, Budco and Muzaffarpur Smart City Limited will launch 982 development projects. These initiatives will focus on improving roads, drainage systems, parks, ghats, lighting, and other essential urban facilities.
Additionally, the CM highlighted the Sikanderpur Lake Front project, developed at a cost of ₹213.25 crore, which aims to provide Muzaffarpur with a modern, clean, and attractive urban identity. He emphasized that inclusive, modern, and sustainable urban development is a top priority for the government, aiming to enhance the quality of life for citizens.
On Saturday, CM Chaudhary visited Hajipur, where he inaugurated a state-of-the-art digital and paperless registration system at the District Registration Office. This system includes home registration, online land verification, and GIS mapping-based services. He also flagged off mobile registration units.
The new system will allow senior citizens aged 80 and above to register from home. Furthermore, it aims to simplify the registration process for individuals over 75 and those residing outside the state. This initiative is expected to ensure transparency, security, and reliability in land transactions while protecting buyers’ interests. The CM also directed improvements in basic facilities at registration offices for the public.
In preparation for CM Chaudhary’s visit to Muzaffarpur, the district magistrate and senior police superintendent conducted a joint inspection of inter-district check posts. They reviewed security arrangements, vehicle inspections, monitoring of suspicious individuals and vehicles, and law and order preparations. Police officials were instructed to ensure thorough checks on all incoming and outgoing vehicles and individuals, enhancing the effectiveness of the checking system.
