
Patna, March 23: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of freedom fighter and socialist thinker Ram Manohar Lohia, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid tribute by offering floral garlands on Monday. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha and other cabinet members were also present at the event.
A program was organized in Patna to commemorate Lohia’s birthday, attended by several prominent leaders. After the national anthem, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar laid flowers at the statue of Ram Manohar Lohia. Later, he shared pictures on the social media platform ‘X’, stating, “On the birth anniversary of the great socialist thinker Ram Manohar Lohia, I paid my respects by offering flowers at his statue.”
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha spoke to reporters, saying, “We have paid tribute to Ram Manohar Lohia Ji. His vision was for a caste-free society in Bihar and the nation, focusing on the upliftment and welfare of all. The government is striving to advance the thoughts and ideas of great personalities for the benefit of society and the nation.”
He emphasized that everyone inspired by these leaders, who advocate for socialism and Lohia’s principles, should believe in simplicity, honesty, and character-driven politics.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sinha responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s long tenure as the head of government. He remarked, “Certainly, Prime Minister Modi’s life, dedicated to the public, is achieving success for the children of Mother India. The nation takes pride in his work and will always remember how he has elevated India’s respect globally.”
The Deputy Chief Minister further stated, “He (PM Modi) has cared for every individual born on the soil of Mother India, working for their development, upliftment, and honor. His efforts will inspire future generations.”
He also mentioned the need to promote nationalism in the interest of the nation, emphasizing the importance of freeing the country from divisive forces and symbols of slavery. It is the responsibility of today’s generation to create a beautiful, clean, and prosperous India for the coming generations.
