Patna, March 5: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has officially submitted his nomination for the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. While NDA leaders are extending their best wishes, the opposition claims that Kumar is being forced into this position under pressure from the BJP. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has accused the BJP of hijacking Kumar’s political journey.
In response to Yadav’s allegations, BJP MP Bhim Singh stated that Kumar has chosen to pursue a seat in the Rajya Sabha of his own accord. He elaborated on this decision in a post on the social media platform ‘X’. Singh dismissed Yadav’s comments as irrelevant, asserting that the public has rejected such nonsensical rhetoric.
Singh emphasized that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is and will always be their leader, having played a significant role in Bihar’s development. He welcomed Kumar’s decision to take on a new role.
When questioned about the next Chief Minister of Bihar, Singh remarked that it is currently difficult to provide an answer as a Member of Parliament. The name of the next Chief Minister will be determined through discussions among Kumar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President Nitin Nabin. The future will reveal who will take charge of Bihar.
Regarding the discontent among JD(U) supporters, Singh reassured that the supporters’ sentiments remain unchanged. They, along with the people of Bihar, would prefer Kumar to continue serving the state.
