Patna, March 4: The vibrant festival of Holi is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across Bihar today. From the main streets to local neighborhoods, children and youth are seen reveling in the colors of this joyous occasion.
In the political arena, Holi festivities are also in full swing. Bihar’s Agriculture Minister, Ramkripal Yadav, celebrated the festival with his supporters at Gandhi Maidan. The minister, along with the Danapur MLA, actively participated in the celebrations, singing traditional Holi songs and dancing to the tunes. The entire area was filled with colors and joy.
During the event at Gandhi Maidan, colorful powders of abir and gulal were thrown in abundance. Minister Ramkripal Yadav noted that for the past 40 years, the Morning Walkers Association has organized Holi celebrations at this location, and today they are continuing this cherished tradition. He extended warm wishes and congratulations to the people of Bihar, especially to the farmers, on the occasion of Holi.
Meanwhile, a Holi Milan ceremony was also held at the residence of Tej Pratap Yadav, son of RJD President Lalu Yadav and former minister of Bihar. The event featured a performance by the Rasleela team from Vrindavan.
Tej Pratap Yadav took to social media platform X to express, “The vibrant festival of Holi symbolizes joy, new life, and unity. On this auspicious occasion, I invite everyone to our grand Holi Milan ceremony at our residence located at 42 A, Harding Road.”
He encouraged people to attend the Holi Milan ceremony, which promises to showcase lively and traditional performances by the Rasleela team, warmly welcoming all attendees.
Many still remember the Holi celebrations of Tej Pratap’s father, former Chief Minister Lalu Yadav, when special events were held at the Chief Minister’s residence, often featuring the playful tradition of tearing the CM’s kurta. Cultural programs were also an integral part of these celebrations.
