
New Delhi, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : The director of the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), P.K. Prajapati, emphasized the collective responsibility of cleanliness during an event on October 2. He encouraged everyone to integrate hygiene into their daily lives. This statement came during the closing ceremony of the Swachhata Hi Seva (Cleanliness is Service) campaign for 2026.
As part of the initiative, AIIA members took a cleanliness pledge. The campaign, which ran from September 17 to October 2, aimed to promote cleanliness, responsible waste management, and environmental awareness within the institute and its surroundings.
On the closing day, notable attendees included Manjusha Rajgopala, Dean of Delhi University, along with other faculty members and research scholars. The campaign saw active participation from faculty, PhD scholars, postgraduate students, staff, patients, and their caregivers.
Awareness programs were organized in hospital waiting areas, focusing on waste segregation, composting, and the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling (3Rs). Additionally, activities involved cleaning the institute’s office premises, fostering a sense of voluntary service and collective responsibility.
To further promote a clean and healthy environment, cleanliness drives were conducted in various designated areas within and around the campus, encouraging responsible waste management in public spaces.
