Bhopal, March 30: Congress legislator Arif Masood has commended the harmonious relations between Hindus and Muslims. In a recent discussion, he mentioned that the police commissioner granted him time to address concerns regarding several incidents in Bhopal.
Masood highlighted attempts to disrupt peace at Bangla Chauraha and near the Kaliji temple, identifying three to four individuals allegedly trying to create unrest in the city. He expressed gratitude to the Hindu and Muslim communities in Bhopal for their trust in both him and the administration.
He assured the public of a fair investigation, noting that there has been no violence among the people. The community has resisted provocation, allowing the truth to prevail. Masood has urged the police commissioner to take immediate action against the offenders.
Regarding the Savitribai Phule Coaching Center, Masood stated that it has been operational for nearly four years, witnessing a steady increase in student enrollment. The dedicated teachers at the center have been supportive, and it operates free of charge. Students who excelled in the fifth and eighth grades will be treated to a meal, with their families invited to join.
Arif Masood has been elected twice from the Bhopal Madhya assembly constituency. On March 10, he received significant relief from the Supreme Court, which stayed a Madhya Pradesh High Court order that directed the registration of an FIR against him and the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for the case.
During the High Court proceedings, the police commissioner was instructed to file an FIR against Masood.
