Amaravati, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh extended their congratulations to ISRO scientists following the successful launch of the GSLV-F17 rocket. This event took place on September 4, 2026, at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
The GSLV-F17 successfully placed India’s heaviest Earth observation satellite, EOS-05, into geosynchronous orbit. The Governor emphasized that this mission marks a significant milestone for India, as it represents the country’s first dedicated imaging satellite, crucial for continuous monitoring and national security. He noted that this achievement adds to ISRO’s impressive list of accomplishments.
Chief Minister Naidu described the launch as a proud moment for India’s space journey. In a post on the social media platform X, he congratulated ISRO for the successful launch and accurate placement of EOS-05 into its designated orbit. He highlighted that this remarkable achievement showcases the strength of India’s space capabilities and the dedication of its scientists and engineers. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan characterized the launch as a new milestone in India’s journey from Earth to the stars. He stated that the GSLV-F17 mission’s success and the establishment of EOS-05 into its sub-geosynchronous transfer orbit represent another significant accomplishment for ISRO. Former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, president of the YSR Congress Party, also congratulated ISRO on the successful launch of GSLV-F17 carrying EOS-05.
