A 32-year-old woman was brutally murdered in Jamshedpur, leaving her family facing a financial crisis after her death.

Jamshedpur, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : A tragic incident unfolded late Sunday night in Jamshedpur, where a 32-year-old woman was brutally murdered with a sharp weapon in Govindpur, located in the Saraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand. The victim has been identified as Radhika Swayan, who was returning home from a local market around 10:30 PM when she was attacked by assailants.
Witnesses reported that Radhika was assaulted with a knife, and there are suspicions that she may have also been struck with a stone during the attack. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the RIT police station. As Radhika cried out for help, nearby residents rushed to her aid, only to find her bleeding on the road. They quickly informed her mother-in-law, Basanti Sinku, who arrived at the scene and, with the help of locals, transported Radhika to Tata Main Hospital. Unfortunately, medical staff pronounced her dead upon arrival.
Preliminary investigations revealed multiple stab wounds to Radhika’s abdomen and neck. Police are also looking into reports of a possible stone attack. The number of attackers and the motive behind the assault remain unclear. Radhika’s husband had previously passed away, leaving her as the sole provider for her family. She worked as a contract laborer and supplemented the household income by selling local alcoholic beverages.
This brutal murder has not only shocked the community but has also plunged Radhika’s family into financial uncertainty. The RIT police have begun inquiries, questioning local residents to determine if Radhika was accompanied by anyone from the market and whether she had any disputes along the way. Authorities are considering various motives, including personal grudges and disputes, as they continue their investigation. At this stage, the exact cause of the murder and the identity of the perpetrators remain unknown.
