Amit Shah Promises to Remove Illegal Immigrants if BJP Wins in Bengal

Kolkata, April 23: In a significant rally in Purshura, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the public ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections. He launched a fierce attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, making serious allegations regarding law and order, illegal immigration, and the political climate in the state.

Shah noted that there is widespread anger against the TMC across Bengal. The people are frustrated with the current government and are yearning for change. This discontent against the TMC has spread throughout the state and will be evident in the upcoming elections.

Highlighting the issue of illegal immigration, he stated that it has become a major problem in Bengal, necessitating strict measures to address it. Shah emphasized the need to identify and remove illegal immigrants, criticizing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her discomfort when names of immigrants are removed from the voter list during the Special Investigation Report (SIR).

He assured the crowd that if the BJP forms the government, every illegal immigrant will be identified and expelled. “You make the BJP government on the 5th. We will systematically remove each illegal immigrant from Bengal,” he declared. Shah further stated that the TMC’s ‘jungle raj’, characterized by land grabs from farmers and the exploitation of the poor, will come to an end on May 4. The public is now ready to support the BJP.

Discussing farmers, Shah pointed out that Bengal’s farmers are not receiving fair prices for their potatoes, while the Mamata government remains indifferent. He criticized the ban on potato exports, which has caused significant losses for farmers. “When the BJP comes to power, we will stand with potato farmers and assist them in exporting their produce,” he promised.

Shah also mentioned that he met individuals who expressed their desire to vote but were fearful of goons. He urged the public not to be intimidated, warning the TMC’s goons to stay indoors on the 29th, or they would face consequences after the 5th. He noted that as the first phase of voting concludes, the high turnout of over 80% by 4:30 PM indicates that the TMC’s influence is waning.
