New Delhi, September 3: BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari held a press conference at the party headquarters in Delhi, making serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab and the Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand.
Bhandari accused Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of running a racket, claiming that his wife is involved in settling legitimate rape cases for ₹5 crore through a middleman. He presented a video that allegedly indicates the Chief Minister is involved in negotiating settlements. “Has the CM’s residence become a place for deals, with cut money going to CM Mann and Punjab’s ‘super CM’ Arvind Kejriwal?” he questioned.
He played an audio clip suggesting that money was being distributed among several individuals, indicating the presence of a syndicate. Bhandari stated, “The accused claims that the case needs to be settled. The middleman then asserts that everything has been discussed with the CM, and they cannot back out because the money needs to be divided among many.”
He raised three critical questions: Are the CM and his wife running a syndicate for settling rape cases for money? Has the CM’s office become a hub for corruption? Is this just an isolated incident, or part of a larger syndicate?
Bhandari demanded that Kejriwal respond to the extent of corruption, stating, “The corruption has reached a level where even rape victims are not spared by the Kejriwal and Mann government. Are they running a similar syndicate in Punjab as they did in Delhi?”
He also criticized the Hemant Soren government and Rahul Gandhi regarding student protests in Jharkhand. “Students protested in Jharkhand, receiving nationwide support. However, as the investigation progresses, it is becoming clear that the company TDPPL, assigned by the Jharkhand government to conduct exams, was blacklisted and has not even issued a tender,” he said.
Bhandari alleged that TDPPL further awarded a contract to a third-party company, Peeker Technology, without any documentation, with all transactions occurring in cash. “The director of Peeker Technology admitted before the CID that there is no copy of the tender given to us, and the entire transaction was in cash. This proves how Rahul Gandhi and Hemant Soren are failing to deliver justice to students,” he asserted.
The BJP spokesperson concluded that the emerging facts from the investigation raise serious questions about how the future of students in Jharkhand is being jeopardized.
