Allegations of Corruption Against Kundan Krishnan: RJD MP Demands Investigation into Wealth

RJD MP Sudhakar Singh accuses Kundan Krishnan of holding unaccounted assets worth ₹150 crore, calling for investigations into corruption.

Patna, November 3 (Daily Kiran) : Sudhakar Singh, a Member of Parliament from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has made serious allegations against Kundan Krishnan, the Director General of the State Special Task Force (STF) in Bihar. Singh claims that Krishnan’s declared and undeclared assets far exceed what could be expected from his official income. He has urged the Lokayukta, central agencies, and senior officials to investigate the matter. Singh noted that he has previously filed several complaints regarding this issue and plans to approach the courts for further action.

According to Singh, Krishnan’s total income from his job is approximately ₹5 crore, while his and his wife’s declared and undeclared assets are estimated at around ₹180 crore. After accounting for family assets worth ₹30 to ₹35 crore, a staggering ₹150 crore remains unaccounted for. Singh has also called for an investigation into the assets of Ritesh Singh, also known as Bittu Singh, claiming that properties worth nearly ₹200 crore are registered in his name. He alleged that during Krishnan’s tenure as SSP in Patna, transactions involving both white and black money were used to transfer properties into Ritesh Singh’s name.

Singh criticized the Lokayukta system in Bihar as ineffective, stating that he has approached the High Court regarding the appointment and functioning of the Lokayukta for the past three years. He has sent letters to the Home Minister, Chief Minister, Governor, Union Public Service Commission, Central Vigilance Commission, and the Central Lokayukta. Given Krishnan’s connections to central services, Singh intends to raise the issue with relevant authorities in Delhi as well, demanding investigations at both state and central levels.

In response to previous complaints about the investigation initiated by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Singh noted that he has yet to receive any official response from the government. He urged the government to clarify whether the allegations are valid. If the government asserts that the assets are legitimate and that no financial misconduct has occurred, he will accept that explanation.

Singh also criticized Choudhary’s call for economically capable individuals to forgo free electricity, highlighting that during the elections, the government promised free electricity for all without any conditions. He argued that the government’s current stance reflects a poor financial situation and a lack of sufficient funds.

Questioning Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent comments regarding illegal immigrants, Singh pointed out that, despite Shah’s position, the alleged three million infiltrators have not yet been identified. Singh emphasized that it is the Home Minister’s responsibility to address national security issues. He also mentioned that he had filed a Right to Information request with the Election Commission regarding claims that Rohingya and Bangladeshi nationals are on voter rolls in Bihar and West Bengal, to which the response indicated zero identifications in both states. He accused the government of attempting to remove opposition names from voter lists while failing to identify foreign nationals.

Singh criticized the alleged leaked videos involving Muslim organizations and demographic change claims, attacking the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the BJP. He referenced the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi and raised questions about those associated with the RSS. He also called for action against individuals involved in alleged financial misconduct related to fundraising for the Ram Temple.

Regarding allegations of sexual exploitation against temple priests made by Neha Bora, Singh acknowledged that atrocities and incidents of rape against women cannot be denied but argued that suggesting such events occur specifically in temples is inappropriate. He deemed this statement irresponsible and expressed his disagreement.
