Dadri, March 29: The Samajwadi Party (SP) showcased its strength in Dadri with the ‘Samajwadi Equality Brotherhood’ rally, where party chief Akhilesh Yadav launched a fierce attack on the BJP. He raised questions about the tactics used to gather crowds at PM Modi’s rallies and the claims of development made by the government.
Akhilesh Yadav stated that the Modi administration relied on government employees and resources to attract crowds to their rallies. Addressing a large gathering of supporters in Dadri, he noted the sea of red flags, symbolizing the enthusiasm of the party workers. He also praised SP leader Rajkumar Bhati for his efforts in making the event successful.
During his speech, he indirectly targeted the BJP, claiming that the discussions surrounding the SP rally made the opposition uncomfortable. He alleged that under pressure, opposition parties organized their rallies before the SP event, but the crowds there were not organic; they were gathered through coercion. He emphasized that in today’s world, nothing can remain hidden from cameras, and the truth eventually comes to light.
Akhilesh further accused the party that claims to be the world’s largest of needing government resources and employees for their rally. He mentioned that students from an institution were encouraged to attend the rally and were later given leave. He also questioned the state government’s claims of development.
He pointed out that several previously inaugurated airports have since closed, raising concerns that new airports might be handed over to private entities. He sarcastically remarked that at least during inaugurations, assurances should be given that public assets will not be sold off.
He noted that those who previously hesitated to visit Noida are now hosting events there. The SP chief claimed that during his tenure, he initiated significant projects like the metro to connect Noida and Delhi, along with various decisions for regional development. He concluded by stating that the current government lacks substantial achievements to showcase, leading them to distract the public with such issues.
