New Delhi, December 8 (Daily Kiran) – Amid widespread disruptions in Indigo flights causing passenger difficulties and putting pressure on the aviation ecosystem, the CEO of Air India has appealed to his staff to assist Indigo passengers in this crisis.

Campbell Wilson, CEO of Tata-led Air India, sent an internal message to employees on Monday praising their efforts and urging them to continue helping travellers and industry colleagues. Wilson wrote, “These past few days have been very busy for many of you, and I want to commend your efforts to support travellers and colleagues.”

He emphasized that during this challenging time, he has been deeply impressed by the stories of Air India’s crew and ground teams stepping up. Wilson asked employees to treat not only Air India customers but also workers from other airlines with kindness. He added, “Please show some compassion to our industry peers. Whether competitor or service partner, regardless of the uniform colour we wear, we are all human and share the same goal – to help passengers safely reach their destinations.”

Indigo, the country’s largest airline, has faced significant troubles for several days, with more than 400 flights cancelled on the seventh consecutive day of disruption. Over the past week, more than 5,000 flights have been cancelled by the airline. This situation has also drawn a strong response from the government.
