(Kiran News) Maruti Suzuki is offering a discount of up to ₹45,000 on its Eeco this August, making it an attractive deal for buyers in the van segment. Known as the most affordable 7-seater in India, the Eeco is widely used for both personal and commercial purposes, including school vans, hospitals, and passenger transport. The discount — higher than last month — includes cash benefits, exchange bonuses, scrappage bonuses, and corporate offers. Prices for the Eeco start at ₹5.70 lakh and go up to ₹6.96 lakh (ex-showroom).
Engine, Mileage, and Performance
The Maruti Eeco is powered by a K-Series 1.2-litre engine that produces 80.76 PS power and 104.5 Nm peak torque in petrol mode. In CNG mode, output is 71.65 PS with 95 Nm torque. For the Tour variant, claimed mileage is 20.2 km/l (petrol) and 27.05 km/kg (CNG), while the passenger variant returns 19.7 km/l (petrol) and 26.78 km/kg (CNG).
Safety and Features
The Eeco offers 11 safety features, meeting current and upcoming regulations. These include reverse parking sensors, engine immobiliser, child locks, seat belt reminders, ABS with EBD, and 6 airbags. It now features a new steering wheel and digital instrument cluster, borrowed from the S-Presso and Celerio, along with upgraded rotary AC controls replacing the older sliding type.
Variants and Dimensions
Available in four body styles — 5-seater, 7-seater, cargo, tour, and ambulance — the Eeco measures 3,675 mm in length, 1,475 mm in width, and 1,825 mm in height (ambulance version: 1,930 mm height). The van’s versatility makes it a preferred choice for commercial passenger transport, especially in the van segment.
