Yogi instructs strict vigil regarding Covid cases

Lucknow , April 12 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced strict vigil in districts around Delhi as 25 new Covid cases were found in Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad districts. During the review meeting held here on Tuesday, Chief Minister was informed that 35 new cases of corona infection were reported in the state in the last 24 hours while 36 persons have been discharged after successful treatment. At present, the number of active cases of Corona in the state is 289. “Increase vigil in districts around Delhi as 25 fresh cases have been found there. Increase testing and provide help to the people at the priority basis,” he said. The Chief Minister said that a branch of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) should be established in the state. In this regard, the state government will provide free land. Necessary action should be taken fast with the cooperation of the Government of India. He said that the comm cable disease control campaign is being conducted effectively in the state, and soon the Dastak campaign will also start. Weekly Chief Minister Arogya Melas have also started. “Nursing service is the backbone of health facilities. In this sequence, systematic operation of teaching-training work is necessary in all the nursing colleges of the state,” he said and appreciated the selfless work done by the para-medic staff during the corona epidemic. The Chief Minister said that in order to establish medical colleges in all 75 districts of the state, medical colleges are to be established in 16 districts on PPP model. Recently, MoU has also been signed regarding the establishment of medical colleges on PPP mode in Sambhal and Maharajganj districts. The process of setting up medical colleges in the remaining districts, which do not have medical colleges, should also be taken forward expeditiously, the CM said. The Chief Minister said that the state is going to get a new gift of Bundelkhand Expressway very soon. All necessary preparations should be completed for its launch program, he directed concerned officials. He also directed that the work of Gorakhpur Link Expressway project should be expedited. He said that with the aim of providing digital power to the youth, the State Government is providing free tablets/smartphones to the students. This program of distribution should be done in the presence of local public representatives, he said. Arrangements for training should also be made as per requirement for better use of tablet/smartphone. The Chief Minister said that special health fairs should be organized in all the development blocks of the state on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Local public representatives will also be invited in these fairs to be organized during the April 18 to 23. MB RKM
