Yogi Adityanath Assures Peace and Harmony in Uttar Pradesh Ahead of Holi Celebrations

Gorakhpur, March 3: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended warm wishes for Holi to all citizens, emphasizing that there is no tension, fear, or chaos in Uttar Pradesh today. He stated that everyone feels secure and has faith in one another. This sense of respect and trust embodies the concept of Ram Rajya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi echoes this sentiment, asserting that with such a situation, India’s development will not be delayed.

On Monday, during the Bhakt Prahlad procession organized by the Holika Dahan Festival Committee in Pandey Hata, the Chief Minister addressed the attendees. He remarked that while the world faces unrest and disorder, Indians can take pride in the visionary leadership of PM Modi, which is elevating the nation to new heights. A new India is creating a festive atmosphere by providing opportunities to every individual, regardless of their background.

CM Yogi highlighted the long tradition of festivals in the region. Before 2014, people struggled to celebrate festivals properly, often facing curfews in Uttar Pradesh. Fear and tension pervaded society, and previous governments divided communities, resulting in chaos and insecurity for both citizens and traders.

Today, Uttar Pradesh has transformed into a festive state, offering safety and convenience. There are no curfews or riots; everything is in order. The atmosphere is celebratory, with Holi festivities ongoing in Mathura-Vrindavan for the past fifteen days, leaving foreign visitors astonished.

The Chief Minister challenged those who accused them of division, asking them to point out where division is evident. The large turnout for the festival demonstrated unity, as people of all backgrounds came together to enjoy Holi.

He stated that the transition from disorder to order, chaos to discipline, and untruth to truth is essential for participating in the festive journey. This celebration is currently visible in Gorakhpur’s heritage corridor, which was once a narrow lane difficult for vehicles to navigate, causing disruption in trade.

CM Yogi announced that Gorakhpur’s heritage corridor will become the most beautiful corridor in the state. Affected traders will receive shop spaces in Bandhu Singh Park, while plans for a complex near DIET for remaining shopkeepers are underway. The government is committed to ensuring no one is displaced, instead providing opportunities for growth.

He noted that the heritage corridor was once a vital center for traders and citizens from Eastern UP, Bihar, and Nepal. Due to a lack of facilities and congestion, trade had declined. However, with new development, it is set to regain its status as a major commercial hub.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the double-engine government is dedicated to bringing prosperity to everyone’s lives through safety and convenience. As Gorakhpur develops, so will the state and the nation. Development begins from the grassroots. While traders in the heritage corridor had concerns, they chose to collaborate with the administration, leading to the creation of a magnificent corridor. The roads will be three times wider, and with facade lighting, it will become the most stunning corridor in the state.

Referencing the significance of Holika Dahan and the story of Bhakt Prahlad and Hiranyakashyap, CM Yogi reminded everyone that just as Lord Vishnu took the form of Narasimha to defeat Hiranyakashyap and restore dharma, similar action is necessary against chaos, lawlessness, and mafia-like behavior. Such elements will not yield to dialogue; they require decisive action.

After his address, CM Yogi performed an aarti for the image of Bhakt Prahlad on a decorated chariot for the procession. Following this, he showered flowers on the gathered crowd, celebrating Holi with great joy and enthusiasm. The excitement among the attendees was palpable.
