Women Do Ride members meet J&K LG

Jammu, April 13 : Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday interacted with members of Jammu and Kashmir’s first women cycling club and told them about his government’s moves to build adequate facilities to encourage women’s participation in governance, business and other sectors. Sinha met ‘Women Do Ride’ members here at the Raj Bhavan extended Baisakhi greetings and congratulated the Payal Jain-led team that came into existence during the Covid months. He appreciated the efforts of first women cyclist group of J&K in inspiring positivity in society, gender equality, women empowerment, skill-sharing and invaluable contribution to social development of the country. During the interaction, the women club members apprised the Lt Governor about various activities through which they raise awareness on a host of social causes. They also discussed concerns of women cyclists and sports enthusiasts. VBH ING MR
