New Delhi, March 15: A wanted criminal, Babul Kumar, linked to several serious criminal cases in the Mahindwara police station area of Bihar, has been arrested in Delhi. A special team from the Bihar police traveled to Delhi specifically to apprehend him. Given the inter-state nature of the crime, Bihar police sought assistance from the Delhi Crime Branch.
Officials from the Bihar police stated that the Crime Branch team was tasked with this operation. Under the leadership of Inspector Pawan Kumar, a dedicated team was formed. The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of ACP Bhagwati Prasad and the direction of DGP Crime Branch Harsh Indora.
To assist the Bihar police, the Delhi police also formed a team, which included Head Constables Amit, Jitendra, and Manish. On March 12, Bihar police received information about Babul’s location near Delhi. During this time, Head Constable Jitendra utilized technical surveillance to trace the suspect’s whereabouts. The team conducted a search operation throughout the day but found no leads.
Subsequently, Head Constable Jitendra activated local informants, providing them with detailed information about the wanted criminal, Babul Kumar. After persistent efforts, the team pinpointed the suspect’s exact location on the morning of March 13. Acting swiftly on this information, the police team arrested him.
Babul Kumar has multiple serious cases registered against him at the Mahindwara police station in Bihar and had been evading capture for a considerable time. He had hidden in Delhi, frequently changing his location, making it difficult for the police to track him down.
Bihar police officials revealed that Babul Kumar was born and raised in the village of Punrarwada in Bihar. He completed his 12th grade in 2022 but later became involved in criminal activities after associating with local criminals. The police are now investigating other cases linked to him.
