Volkswagen Tayron to Launch Soon in India

Volkswagen is preparing to introduce the Tayron in India, which will replace the Tiguan AllSpace in the brand’s lineup. The Tayron, spotted testing on Indian roads, is expected to launch by the end of 2025 and marks Volkswagen’s return to the three-row SUV segment.

The Tayron’s design resembles the Tiguan R-Line but with a length extended by 231 mm for added cabin space. The front fascia features stylish LED headlamps, a black grille, and an air dam with a mesh pattern. Globally, the Tayron gets IQ.LIGHT HD Matrix headlamps with Dynamic Light Assist, using 19,000 individually controlled LEDs per unit. A connecting LED strip and illuminated VW badge complete the look, though official India-specific features will be confirmed at launch.

Volkswagen Tayron: Engine and Gearbox

The Volkswagen Tayron will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, the same unit as the new Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line, producing 200 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
