Veteran BJP Leader LK Advani Hospitalized Due to Chest Infection
LK Advani, senior BJP leader, has been admitted to Apollo Hospital with a chest infection. His condition is currently stable.

New Delhi, October 16 (Daily Kiran) : Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in New Delhi due to a chest infection. The 98-year-old politician was brought to the hospital on the evening of October 16, around 7:30 PM. He is currently receiving treatment in the pulmonary department and is under the watchful eye of a medical team.
Hospital officials have confirmed that Advani’s condition remains stable as he undergoes treatment. This is not the first time the veteran politician has faced health issues; he was hospitalized earlier this year in May for age-related health concerns. After a brief stay, he was discharged.
Advani has had a distinguished career in Indian politics, serving as the BJP president three times and holding significant roles in the government, including as Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister under Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s leadership from 1998 to 2004.
In December 2024, Advani was admitted to the intensive care unit at the same hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. At that time, he was under the care of neurologist Dr. Vineet Suri, with hospital reports indicating a gradual improvement in his condition.
As he continues to receive care, many in the political sphere are keeping a close watch on his health updates.
