Veteran Actor Sharat Saxena Shares Post-Surgery Joy and Humor on Social Media

Mumbai, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : Senior actor Sharat Saxena, at the age of 76, recently underwent a six-hour spine surgery, sharing his recovery journey on social media. Despite the extensive procedure, Saxena appeared in high spirits, posting several photos from his time in the hospital and his return home.

In an update on his social media account, he wrote, “The six-hour spine surgery is done. No one can stop a good person.” The pictures show the seasoned actor smiling from his hospital bed shortly after the surgery, surrounded by family and friends.

One of the photos captures him riding in a car with friends on his way home. He also shared a cheerful image celebrating his recovery, with the caption, “Party today, gym tomorrow.” In another humorous post, he joked, “No more soup!!!” while another image read, “No more walking stick needed!!!”

This update follows a previous post where Saxena shared images of himself standing for an MRI before the surgery. He had captioned it, “Standing for an MRI before lumbar spine surgery at Bombay Hospital,” showing him secured in an upright MRI machine.

Known for both his acting and impressive fitness, Saxena, born on August 17, 1950, has maintained a rigorous fitness routine even at 76. In a recent interview, he mentioned training for nearly two hours daily, noting that he could now work out for longer periods without feeling fatigued, a stark contrast to his younger days when just 20 minutes would tire him out.

On the professional front, Saxena boasts a career spanning over five decades, with roles in more than 250 films across Hindi and other Indian languages. He is remembered for his performances in iconic films such as “Mr. India,” “Tridev,” “Ghayal,” “Khiladi,” and “Bajrangi Bhaijaan.” Most recently, he appeared in Ajay Devgn’s “Son of Sardar 2,” where he is often recognized for playing villainous roles.
