
Kota, March 7: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the Civil Services Examination 2025 on March 6. Anuj Agnihotri achieved the top rank nationwide.
In an interview, Anuj shared that during his MBBS graduation, he shifted his focus from medical science to civil services. He had decided to pursue a career in civil services at that time. His first attempt was in 2023, where he secured a position in the Danik Services, making this his third attempt overall. Anuj graduated from AIIMS Jodhpur in 2017.
He mentioned that while interning, he prepared for the exam through online courses. After that, he studied at home. Anuj credits much of his success to his family. His father works at a nuclear power plant, and his mother is a homemaker. He expressed that predicting the top rank is difficult and that achieving it is a matter of luck. Anuj emphasized the importance of continuous effort, regardless of success or failure.
Anuj’s mother, Manju Agnihotri, stated that this achievement is a result of his hard work and divine blessings. She believes that every task should be approached with a proper routine. Observing Anuj’s dedication, she always felt he would accomplish something significant.
Anuj secured the top position, followed by Rajeshwari Suve at second and Akansh Dhul at third. The results were based on the written examination held in August 2025 and the personality test conducted between December 2025 and February 2026.
According to the merit list released by the commission, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for various All India and Central Services. In the UPSC Civil Services, Raghav Jhunjhunwala secured fourth place, Ishan Bhatnagar fifth, and Jiniya Arora sixth. AR Raja Mohideen took seventh place, followed by Pakshal Secretary in eighth, Aastha Jain in ninth, and Ujjwal Priyank in tenth.
