UP Police Constable Exam Dates Announced for June 8-10

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has announced the dates for the written examination for the recruitment of constables in the state police force. The written test for direct recruitment to the posts of constable and equivalent positions under the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) will be held from June 8 to June 10, 2026.

According to the official notification released by UPPRPB, the exam will take place over three days—June 8 (Monday), June 9 (Tuesday), and June 10 (Wednesday). Each day will have two shifts for the written test. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 32,679 vacant posts will be filled.

Details about exam centers, admit cards, and guidelines will be provided on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.

The Yogi Adityanath government has also granted a significant relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates applying in this recruitment cycle. Following the Chief Minister’s directives, a one-time age relaxation of three years has been allowed in accordance with the Uttar Pradesh Public Service (Age Relaxation for Recruitment) Rules, 1992. This decision, issued via a government order dated January 5, 2026, opens up opportunities for many aspirants who were previously ineligible due to age restrictions.

In 2024, the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board conducted the largest-ever recruitment, filling 60,244 constable posts across the state. In that process, 20 percent of the posts were reserved for women candidates, ensuring their representation in the force.
