UP Government Plans to Purchase Cow Urine for Medicinal Use, Says Minister Dharmapal Singh

Lucknow, August 12: The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Dharmapal Singh announced that the government is planning to purchase cow urine for medicinal purposes and other uses. This initiative is part of the state’s welfare programs for cows and the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga‘ campaign.

Under the plan, the government will buy cow urine at a rate of 10 rupees per liter in Bulandshahr. The initiative will involve 300 women as shareholders, allowing them to earn a profit of 2 rupees per liter.

During a conversation, Dharmapal Singh emphasized that the milk from indigenous cows is akin to nectar. He also mentioned ongoing efforts related to cow dung and cow urine. The government aims to produce medicines from cow urine and explore other applications.

Regarding the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra,’ Minister Singh stated, “Har Ghar Tiranga, Ghar-Ghar Tiranga. The country is progressing to become one of the best in the world. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is on its way to becoming the third-largest economy. This Tiranga Yatra will help realize the vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat.’”

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party MP Ruchi Veera criticized the state government’s plan to purchase cow urine. She expressed her embarrassment, stating, “On one hand, we talk about becoming a global leader, while on the other hand, we are purchasing all goods and machinery from China and abroad. Our government is stuck on the cow urine scheme, which seems to be a distraction from pressing issues.”

She urged the ruling party to focus on students’ education, national development, and youth employment, emphasizing the need for work in health and national security.
