In the Bansi constituency, BJP’s senior leader Jay Pratap Singh faced a tough challenge from SP’s Naveen, BSP’s Radheshyam, and Congress’s Kiran Shukla. Ultimately, Singh maintained his political dominance by winning the seat, garnering 84,596 votes compared to Naveen’s 64,256. Radheshyam trailed with 22,071 votes, marking Singh’s eighth victory in the assembly elections since he first won as an independent candidate in 1989.
