Union Minister Kiren Rijiju presents medals to 52 CBI officials

New Delhi, April 2 : on Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Saturday presented on Home Minister’s Medal to 52 CBI officials during the Valedictory Session of first-ever Investigating Officers Conference, organised by CBI here. Rijiju applauded the professional working of CBI officers in achieving the high conviction rate and stressed on tremendous team work exhibited by the premier investigating agency of the country. The Minister pointed out that people of India, judiciary and on government have high expectations, faith and trust in CBI. Overall, CBI remains the pride of everybody, the agency said in a statement here. The Minister also assured all help in meeting challenges of manpower, including the need of lawyers, adding that he would endeavour providing services of best lawyers to the organisation. He also said that the ultimate goal of various organisations of the state, including judiciary and government & law enforcement agencies like CBI, is to ensure justice to the people and as such, the government was working towards providing justice at the doorstep. Rijiju said how much a team has been giving full devotion to its profession. “To perform your duties under a government which believes in zero tolerance against corruption, then you can understand, it also gives a boost in your effort,” he added.
