Moscow, 14 August (Kiran News) : Ukraine launched drone attacks on two Russian cities—Rostov-on-Don and Belgorod—overnight, injuring 16 people and damaging multiple apartments. According to Russian officials, 13 people were injured in Rostov-on-Don, while three were wounded in Belgorod.

The Russian Air Defence Forces reported that between 8:00 pm on 13 August and 7:00 am on 14 August (Moscow time), they intercepted and destroyed 44 Ukrainian drones in the air.
According to Russia’s TASS news agency, Acting Governor of Rostov-on-Don Yuri Slusar stated via his Telegram channel that 13 people were injured in the city following a drone strike, with two in critical condition. Several apartments on Telmana and Lermontovskaya Streets were damaged, and residents were evacuated from affected buildings. An emergency shelter has been set up in a local school as part of ongoing rescue operations.
In Belgorod, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed via Telegram that Ukrainian armed forces targeted the regional government building, causing damage. In a separate drone strike, three people were injured, and a car caught fire during the attack.
The Russian Defence Ministry reported shooting down 14 drones over the Black Sea, nine over Volgograd region, seven over Crimea, seven over Rostov region, four over Krasnodar region, two over Belgorod region, and one over the Sea of Azov. Acting Governor Slusar added that drone attacks were also foiled in the Millerovsky and Kasharsky districts of the Rostov region.
