U.S. Military Deploys Precision Strike Missiles Against Iran for the First Time

Washington, March 14: The United States has utilized its new Precision Strike Missiles in combat for the first time. This attack occurred during a military operation against Iran.

In a briefing, General Dan Ken, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, revealed details about the progress of the operation. He stated, “In just the first 13 days of this operation, our artillery forces made history. They launched Precision Strike Missiles for the first time in combat, reaching deep into enemy territory.”

These missiles were fired by U.S. Army artillery units supporting the ongoing campaign against Iran’s military infrastructure. General Ken noted that American soldiers and Marines are operating advanced rocket and missile systems capable of striking targets from great distances.

“Our artillery forces, which include U.S. soldiers and Marines, are sinking ships, destroying weapon stockpiles, and launching Army Tactical Missile Systems, Precision Strike Missiles, and HIMARS missiles from outside Iran,” he explained.

According to the General, the military has also targeted Iranian naval assets using the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS). “Several vessels have been sunk using ATACMS, including a submarine,” he added.

General Ken mentioned that he recently spoke with soldiers from the 3rd Battalion, 27th Field Artillery Regiment, stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. This unit was responsible for firing the first Precision Strike Missile. One soldier had enlisted only six months prior and had been with the unit for just two months before being deployed. The youngest soldier was 20 years old, while others were 22 and 28.

Despite their youth, the General praised the soldiers for executing their mission calmly and professionally. “Their demeanor reflected peace, pride, purpose, and clarity,” he said.

He described the firing process: “When the fire mission order is given, they close the armored doors and begin programming the system. They then press three simple toggle switches, the rocket motor ignites, and the missile heads toward its target.”

The use of Precision Strike Missiles in combat is seen as a significant step in modernizing the U.S. military’s long-range strike capabilities. These missiles are designed to eventually replace the ATACMS system, enhancing the range and accuracy of U.S. artillery.
