Two-Year-Old Girl Kidnapped in Madhya Pradesh Rescued in Jharkhand

Mumbai, May 19: A two-year-old girl kidnapped from Singrauli district in Madhya Pradesh has been rescued by police within 36 hours in Jharkhand. The alleged kidnapper is also in custody.

According to police reports, the girl’s father was sleeping with her at a bus stand in Baidhan when he woke up to find her missing. After searching the area extensively, he suspected that an unknown person had lured her away.

Upon receiving the complaint, the Baidhan police registered a case and initiated an immediate investigation. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, Superintendent of Police Shiyaz KM formed a special SIT. Under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Roshni Patel, around 150 police officers were deployed in 10 special teams to locate the girl.

The Superintendent announced a reward of ₹10,000 for information leading to the recovery of the child and the arrest of the suspect. Radio messages were sent to police stations across the district and neighboring states, while intensive searches were conducted at railway stations, bus stands, hospitals, dams, rivers, and secluded areas in Baidhan, Vindhynagar, Morwa, Bargawan, and Mada.

Police reviewed footage from nearly 200 CCTV cameras and distributed flyers of the girl’s photo in public spaces, autos, and buses, while also sharing information through social media and newspapers.

Through technical analysis of the CCTV footage, police identified a suspect seen traveling with the girl from Baidhan towards Bilauji and further to Majan Mor. After questioning bus drivers, conductors, and auto drivers, police learned that the suspect was from Latehar in Jharkhand and had taken the girl to his village.

Based on this information, special police teams were dispatched to Jharkhand. The teams successfully apprehended the suspect at his residence and recovered the two-year-old girl, returning her safely to her family.
