Noida, April 6: The police in Noida’s Phase-2 area have arrested two notorious fraudsters, unveiling an organized scam. This operation took place on April 5, 2026, with assistance from local intelligence.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Vishal, also known as Nanha (19 years old), a resident of Prem Nagar, Nangloi, Delhi, and Karan Solanki (26 years old), from Sabhapur, Loni, Ghaziabad. According to police reports, both suspects were active in the Bhangeal area of Noida, tricking unsuspecting victims.
During the arrest, authorities seized two bundles of paper used in their scams. Each bundle contained a single genuine ₹500 note on the top and bottom, while the rest were merely sheets of paper. Additionally, the police recovered ₹2,500 in cash from the suspects.
Investigations revealed that the fraudsters cleverly ensnared their victims. They would entice passersby with the promise of large sums of money, showcasing the bundles with real notes to instill confidence that they possessed substantial cash. They would then deceive these individuals into exchanging their valuable jewelry or cash for the fake bundles and flee the scene.
Police officials stated that this gang specifically targeted those who were easily lured by the prospect of quick money. Victims were often taken in by their initial trust, only to be defrauded within minutes.
The Phase-2 police have initiated legal proceedings against both accused. Noida police urge the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling for such temptations. They encourage reporting any suspicious activities immediately to help curb these fraudulent incidents.
