Kozhikode, April 16 : Two members of a family were drowned in Vilangad river near Nadapuram in Kerala’s Kozhikode district while another child was rescued by locals after they were swept away by strong currents while bathing on Saturday. According to police, the deceased were Hrudwin (22) and Ashmin (14). Hrudwin’s sister Hridya was rescued. The incident took place around 11.30 am. Hridwin and family had reached Nadapuram to celebrate Easter and school vacation from Bengaluru. AK/SS MR
