Trump Claims Major Iranian Naval Losses Amid Tensions

Washington, March 7: President Donald Trump has asserted that Iran has suffered significant losses due to U.S. attacks. He made these remarks while addressing leaders from Latin American countries at his golf resort in Miami, Florida.

During the event, Trump claimed that recent strikes had destroyed 42 Iranian naval vessels. According to him, these attacks inflicted substantial damage on Iran’s navy, air force, and communication systems.

He also alleged that U.S. operations targeted sites linked to Iran’s nuclear program, stating, “Iran was nearing the capability to develop nuclear weapons.”

While looking at his Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Trump praised him, saying, “Pete, you are fantastic. You are doing a great job. I am proud of you.”

Meanwhile, Israel has claimed to have destroyed 16 Iranian aircraft. The Israeli military stated that these planes belonged to the IRGC Quds Force, which conducts military operations outside Iran.

The Israeli Air Force reportedly launched significant nighttime attacks in several locations around the capital, Tehran, including targeting Mehrabad International Airport.

In response, Iranian President Masoud Pajeshekiyan issued a series of statements on social media, reiterating that Tehran has not attacked its friends and neighboring countries. Instead, he claimed that Iran has targeted U.S. military bases and installations in the region.

This statement followed a televised video message in which he apologized to neighboring Gulf countries and indicated that Iran’s interim leadership council had approved a halt to attacks or missile strikes against them, unless provoked by those nations.
