Tributes Pour In for Tulsidas on His Birth Anniversary

New Delhi, August 19: On the birth anniversary of the revered poet Tulsidas, known for his epic ‘Shri Ramcharitmanas’, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and several Chief Ministers paid their respects. Birla emphasized that Tulsidas’s devotion to Lord Ram and his literary brilliance will continue to inspire future generations towards truth, virtue, and righteousness.

In a post on the social media platform X, Birla stated, “On the birth anniversary of the great poet Tulsidas, who gave voice to devotion in the vernacular and connected the ideals of Lord Ram to the lives of the people, I bow in reverence. Through his remarkable writing, Tulsidas made the character of Lord Ram the foundation of Indian values. His immortal work ‘Shri Ramcharitmanas’ embodies a blend of virtue, compassion, sacrifice, truth, duty, and religion that guides humanity in every age.”

He further added, “The revered Tulsidas transformed the profound spiritual essence of Sanskrit into the simplicity and beauty of the vernacular, bringing devotion to the masses. His works reflect the depth of devotion, the breadth of philosophy, and the natural experiences of everyday life. Through his invaluable creations like ‘Shri Ramcharitmanas’, ‘Vinay Patrika’, ‘Kavitavali’, ‘Dohavali’, ‘Geetavali’, and ‘Vairagya Sandipani’, he enriched the Indian spiritual tradition. The light of his devotion and literature will always inspire future generations on the path of truth, virtue, and righteousness.”

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari also paid tribute to Tulsidas on his birth anniversary, posting, “Heartfelt wishes on the birth anniversary of the great poet Tulsidas. I bow in reverence to him.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed on X, “On the birth anniversary of the immortal epic ‘Shri Ramcharitmanas’ creator and the great poet of devotion, revered Tulsidas Maharaj, I offer my heartfelt greetings to the people of the state. Through his divine works, he conveyed the ideals of Lord Ram, the eternal culture, and the essence of Indian values to everyone. His timeless literature serves as a perpetual guide for the welfare of society.”

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav honored Tulsidas, stating, “The auspicious light ignited by Tulsidas through the character of Lord Ram will illuminate humanity for eternity.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta wrote on X, “On the birth anniversary of the great saint and poet Tulsidas, who made the devotion to Lord Ram a life principle for the masses and authored the epic ‘Shri Ramcharitmanas’ and the revered ‘Hanuman Chalisa’, I bow in reverence.”

She added, “Tulsidas’s words connected devotion to public welfare, faith to practice, and duty to virtue and morality. His timeless works have kept alive the consciousness of duty, cultural pride, and the essence of Ram in Indian society for ages. His literature is an inexhaustible treasure of our spiritual tradition and national identity.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma posted, “On the birth anniversary of the unparalleled devotee of Lord Ram, the great saint, poet, and creator of the immortal work ‘Shri Ramcharitmanas’, I bow in reverence. His timeless creation is a unique heritage of Indian culture, faith, and values. His divine message of Lord Ram’s ideals, virtue, and public welfare will guide humanity towards truth, duty, and righteousness for generations to come.”

Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi wrote, “I bow in reverence on the birth anniversary of the creator of ‘Shri Ramcharitmanas’, the great poet Tulsidas. His immortal works that convey the ideals and virtues of Lord Ram will always inspire.”
