The Home Minister remarked that Gurudev invigorated the spirit of freedom through literature, music, and philosophy during the era of colonialism.
Om Birla expressed his sentiments on the social media platform X, stating, “On the occasion of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s birth anniversary, I offer my heartfelt homage. Gurudev was the voice of the Indian soul, a great personality whose vision embodied a unique blend of humanity, nature, and knowledge. His life is a remarkable example of multifaceted talent. He was a poet, a craftsman of emotions, a novelist, a keen observer of society, a lyricist who sang the consciousness of the nation, and a painter who created from imagination.”
He further noted that Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was a spokesperson for the spirit of ‘Vishwa-Manav’ (World Humanity). His philosophy transcended borders. As a visionary educator, he liberated education from constraints, making it a medium for free thought, sensitivity, and creativity. He utilized knowledge as a tool for societal upliftment and dedicated his creativity to the welfare of humanity. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also took to X, writing, “On the birth anniversary of Kaviguru Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, I bow in reverence.
