
New Delhi, August 19: The nation is commemorating the birth anniversary of Shankar Dayal Sharma, India’s ninth President. Leaders like Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari have paid their respects.
In a heartfelt tribute on the social media platform X, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla wrote, “As a distinguished educator, jurist, and skilled politician, he made significant contributions to empowering education, culture, and democratic institutions. His dedicated services to the nation will always be remembered.”
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also expressed his respect, stating, “On the birth anniversary of former President Shankar Dayal Sharma, I offer my humble salutations.”
Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, shared, “On the birth anniversary of the epitome of simplicity, service, and humility, freedom fighter, and pride of Madhya Pradesh, Shankar Dayal Sharma, I bow deeply. Your profound thoughts and ideal life will continue to inspire us all towards public service and national upliftment.”
Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, echoed similar sentiments, stating, “On the birth anniversary of the freedom fighter and former President Shankar Dayal Sharma, I offer my heartfelt homage. Union Minister of State for Finance and President of Uttar Pradesh BJP, Pankaj Chaudhary, remarked, “On the death anniversary of freedom fighter and former President Shankar Dayal Sharma, I pay my humble tribute.
