
Amethi, March 10: A devastating road accident occurred in Amethi district, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the tragic deaths of three individuals and leaving four others seriously injured. Upon receiving the report, police arrived at the scene, transporting the injured to the hospital and placing the deceased in the morgue while notifying their families. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident and other contributing factors.
The incident took place late Monday evening on the Banda-Tanda National Highway, near the Fursatganj police station area. According to police reports, Atul, a resident of Gandhi Nagar in Jayas, was traveling with his six-year-old daughter, Disha, along with Heeralal from Faridpur, Rani, Shivani, Pallavi, and 12-year-old Mahi, heading towards Fursatganj on two motorcycles. As they approached the village of Nigoh, they collided with a truck parked by the roadside.
The accident caused chaos at the scene, prompting local residents to rush to assist and notify the police. All injured individuals were transported to the community health center, where doctors pronounced Disha, Atul, and Heeralal dead. Meanwhile, Rani, Shivani, and Pallavi were referred to the district hospital in Raebareli for critical care. Family members arrived at the scene, devastated by the loss of their loved ones.
Currently, 12-year-old Mahi is receiving treatment at the community health center. Police from Jayas and Fursatganj arrived to manage the crowd. According to initial reports, the two motorcycles collided with each other before losing control and crashing into the stationary truck. No formal complaint has been filed yet, but one will be registered upon receipt. Police will proceed with further actions after discussions with the families. The truck has been seized for investigation.
