Madhubani, March 28: A tragic car accident in the Arar police station area of Madhubani district, Bihar, has resulted in the deaths of three friends. They were returning from a fair when the incident occurred. According to police reports, the accident took place shortly after midnight on Friday near the Arar bridge.
The fair was organized in Gwalpara to celebrate Ram Navami. Four friends had traveled from Madhubani to attend the event and were driving back late at night. As their car approached the Arar bridge, the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to crash through a pole and plunge into the Surasar River.
Reports indicate that while four individuals were in the car, one person remains unaccounted for. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team is actively searching for the missing individual. Upon receiving news of the accident, police arrived at the scene and, with the assistance of local residents, retrieved the bodies.
A police official stated on Saturday that the deceased have been identified as Ghanshyam Kumar (28) from Ward 23, Madhubani Station Chowk, Ankit Kumar (26) from Mokma in the Saharsa district, and Vasant Kumar (23) from the Saur Bazaar police area. The car has been recovered from the river, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
The families of the victims are devastated, mourning the loss of their loved ones. It has been reported that all the young men were close friends who had gone to the fair together. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, and police have stated that the true reasons will only be revealed once the inquiry is complete.
