Rohtas, May 4: A devastating accident occurred near Mathiya Mor in the Dinara police station area of Rohtas district on Monday morning, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and leaving around ten others injured. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to reports, residents of Mathiya village were returning by bus after attending a tilak ceremony for Ashok Kumar’s daughter in Lodhi village, located in the Chenari area. While en route, their bus collided violently with a container near Mathiya Mor. The impact was so severe that it led to immediate chaos, prompting nearby residents to rush to the scene for rescue efforts.
Tragically, five passengers lost their lives at the site of the accident. Several others sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital. The families of the deceased are in deep mourning following this tragic event.
Upon receiving the news, police arrived at the scene to manage the situation. They took possession of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem examinations. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.

In this attack, a man named Pappu Singh was killed, while another individual, Vikram Singh, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical care. Following the incident, tensions rose in the village, prompting police to take immediate action.
According to the Shivsagar police chief, authorities swiftly arrested two suspects, including a woman. The body of the deceased has been sent to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
