Mirzapur, July 16: A tragic incident occurred in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, when an uncontrolled truck crashed into a home, crushing five people who were asleep inside. Three individuals lost their lives, while two others sustained serious injuries. All injured parties are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. The incident has sparked outrage among local residents.
According to police officials, the accident happened around 3 AM on Thursday near the Kudaran intersection in the Aharoura police station area. The truck, which was transporting salt from Varanasi to Sonbhadra, suddenly had a tire burst, causing it to veer off course and crash into a house where people were sleeping.
The loud noise from the crash led to panic and drew a crowd of villagers to the scene. Authorities reported that the truck ran over five individuals, resulting in the deaths of three members of the same family, while two others were injured.
Upon receiving news of the incident, Aharoura police quickly arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations. Two injured individuals were transported to the CHC Chacheri Mor Chunar for treatment, where they were later referred to the Trauma Center in Varanasi for advanced care. Additionally, police have taken custody of the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem examinations.
The deceased have been identified as 47-year-old Rajaram, 70-year-old Sukhiya, and 45-year-old Chandtara. The injured include 45-year-old Sunil Sharma and 12-year-old Suhani. Police officials stated that teams are currently engaged in further action following the incident.
