
Coffs Harbour, 5 January: Sydney Sixers secured a thrilling 3-wicket victory over Brisbane Heat in the 24th match of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2025-26 at the International Sports Stadium on Monday.
With this win, Sydney Sixers climbed to fourth place on the points table, having won 3 out of their 6 matches. Brisbane Heat, who have lost 4 of their 7 games, currently sit in fifth position.
After losing the toss, Brisbane Heat opted to bat first and managed a modest total of 114 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted overs. The opening pair of Jack Wildermuth and Lachlan Harn put together a 27-run partnership off 18 balls.
Lachlan Harn contributed just 1 run, while Jack Wildermuth scored 31 runs off 17 balls, hitting 2 sixes and 2 fours. Other notable contributions came from Hugh Weideman with 24 runs and Ollie Patterson with 19 runs.
