Raipur, March 22: A cable car accident at the renowned Khallari Temple in Khallari village, located in Chhattisgarh’s Mahasamund district, left six pilgrims injured on Sunday. The cable car reportedly fell approximately 200 feet after breaking down.

According to police reports, six devotees were aboard the cable car at the time of the incident. Chaos ensued immediately after the accident. Local residents, temple officials, and police initiated rescue and relief operations promptly.

The injured individuals received first aid at the scene and were subsequently admitted to the district hospital in Mahasamund for further medical care.

In light of safety concerns, local authorities have suspended the cable car service. Police officials indicated that preliminary investigations suggest a technical malfunction may have caused the cable to snap.
