Chandigarh, March 10 : Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu on Thursday said he “humbly accepts” defeat in Punjab, and congratulated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for its landslide victory in the state. “The voice of the people is the voice of God …. Humbly accept the mandate of the people of Punjab …. Congratulations to AAP!!!” he said in a tweet. AAP is leading on 91 seats in Punjab while Congress, which was in power, is leading on 17 seats. Sidhu is also trailing behind AAP candidate Jeewan Jot Kaur on his Amritsar East seat. In 2017 assembly polls, Congress had won 77 seats while AAP could win 20. AO GK
