Jaipur, August 18: A shocking double murder incident has emerged from Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. Late Monday night, a family dispute over land escalated into a tragic confrontation resulting in two deaths.
Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene to investigate. DSP Uday Singh reported that a woman was shot dead due to a family quarrel. Witnessing his mother in agony, her son Anil retaliated by beating his father to death with a stick. The father’s third wife was also seriously injured during the incident.
The investigation revealed that Bhagwana Kalbeliya, the father, already had two wives and was living with his third wife, Tara. On Monday night, Bhagwana, Tara, and some relatives were drinking together when his other two wives, Ladoo and Bhomli, along with his son Anil, arrived. A heated argument over land ensued.
The dispute escalated to such an extent that in a fit of rage, Bhagwana fired a shot that struck Bhomli, killing her instantly. In a fit of rage upon seeing his mother suffer, Anil grabbed a stick and fatally attacked his father. Tara, who attempted to intervene, was also severely injured and has been referred to Udaipur for treatment after initial care.
The police and forensic team collected evidence at the scene. Both bodies have been sent to the mortuary at Chittorgarh District Hospital, and Anil has been arrested as the investigation continues.
