Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, February 28: A horrifying incident has emerged from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. In the Naregaon area, a pack of 10 to 15 dogs attacked a four-year-old girl, leaving her severely injured. The hospital has faced serious allegations of negligence following this incident.
In the morning, the dogs surrounded the girl and viciously mauled her. Almost every part of her body bore the marks of the attack. Her family rushed out and managed to scare the dogs away. The girl was left bleeding profusely, with deep wounds and severe injuries to her head.
Panicked relatives immediately took her to the government hospital. According to family members, her condition was critical; however, the doctors merely administered an injection and sent her home. They also claimed that essential vaccines were unavailable at the hospital, forcing them to purchase three injections from an outside pharmacy. After receiving the injections, the girl was discharged.
Upon returning home, her condition did not improve. She remained unconscious, prompting her worried family to return to the hospital. With the help of local leaders, she was readmitted.
As the situation escalated, opposition leader Sameer Sajid visited the family. He contacted the dean of Ghati Hospital to ensure the girl was admitted to the government facility.
Sajid criticized the municipal corporation’s operations, stating that millions have been spent on dog sterilization over the years, yet packs of dogs continue to roam freely, attacking residents. He questioned how doctors could send a severely injured four-year-old home with just an injection and highlighted the lack of necessary post-bite vaccines at the hospital.
In response, Shivaji Sukre from the government hospital acknowledged some negligence on the part of the doctors and assured that action would be taken.
Currently, the young girl is fighting for her life in the hospital, and this incident has shaken the entire city.
